Casco Bay Hover Boat Tour

Join us at the historic Portland Company at 58 Fore Street in Portland Maine – where we will board the Hovercraft and depart on an hour long tour of Casco Bay like no other.
While passing through Portland Harbor, you will see what makes it one of the most historic areas in the country. From its beginning in 1633 to modern day, the area has been molded by storms, fires and wars. We will see marine life including seals and osprey in there natural environment.
See upfront the yachts and mansions of the Foreside as we work our way east to the Royal River estuary. You will have a chance to enter Harraseeket Harbor through the Pound of Tea channel.
Continuing to the eastern edge of Casco Bay, we come to Potts Harbor at the end of Harpswell. For centuries fisherman have journeyed to sea and today it provide some of the best scenery and dining.
As we enter Luckse Sound, we will pass Admiral Bird’s home and base for his Arctic exploration as well as the Islands at the outer reaches of Casco Bay. As we pick our way back, we work along the shores and small islands of Long and Peaks.
As we make our way back into Portland Harbor, we will pass Portland Head Light and numerous historic military forts along with the beautiful homes of Cape Elizabeth shore. We enter back into the harbor by Spring Point Light and Bug light.
